The Institute of Agroecology and Food (IAA) and the Institute of Physics, Computing and Aerospace Science (IFCAE) of the Universidade de Vigo are participating in Sostenave, a new joint research unit promoted by UVigo together with Grupo Coren and Sertogal, and funded by the Xunta de Galicia.
The initiative aims to incorporate advanced digital technologies into farms and optimize production processes in the Galician poultry meat sector, contributing to its sustainability and quality.
Sostenave is part of a public-private collaboration framework and seeks to address the sector’s main challenges in a comprehensive way, from nutrition and on-farm management to processing and by-product valorization, incorporating circular economy principles, energy efficiency and advanced digital technologies.
