The Research Group GISA is promoting the project Promoting Biodiversity: More Apicultural Resources in Forest Environments, funded by the 5th Ence Pontevedra Social Plan. The initiative aims to improve the availability of high-quality pollen and increase biodiversity in forest areas, particularly in eucalyptus plantations in the Rías Baixas, thereby contributing to the conservation of bees and other pollinators.
As part of the project, an open event will take place on Friday, November 14, at the Faculty of Science on the Ourense campus. The program will include lectures and workshops on sustainable beekeeping, biodiversity, and the nutritional value of pollen.
