IAA no foro Green Value 4 Food

On 29 January 2026, the IAA participated in the Food Sustainability Forum, organised by Clusaga. This event places food sustainability at its core and is part of the 2nd edition of the Green Value 4 Food Forum. The meeting focused on analysing advances in sustainability and the circular economy within the sector, with the aim of supporting companies in transitioning towards greener and more digital models.

The GREEN VALUE 4 FOOD Forum began with an opening ceremony addressing public policies related to the green transition. This was followed by thematic presentations and roundtable discussions. Topics covered included key issues for the food sector, such as the environmental impact of value chains, waste valorisation, product eco-design, environmental footprint, natural capital and sustainable finance. This edition emphasised the importance of transitioning to responsible and competitive production models that promote sustainable and circular development throughout the entire food value chain.

Representing the IAA were Pedro Ferreira Santos and Rosa Pérez-Gregorio, who attended the event as members of the audience. They closely followed the debates and presentations, keeping their knowledge of the sector’s trends and challenges up to date.

Moreover, the forum presented itself as a networking and collaboration space, featuring an exhibition area that showcased sustainable solutions for the food ecosystem. By attending the event, the IAA had the opportunity to connect with other industry stakeholders, strengthening its connections within the business community and with the sustainable innovation initiatives being developed in Galicia and other regions.

The IAA’s participation in these types of meetings highlights the institute’s dedication to applied research, food sustainability and monitoring the changes impacting the agri-food industry.
